Carlos was a major influence on my journey through a very difficult period in my life when I felt overwhelmed by pressures at work. I was working 14-16 hours a day, not sleeping, crazed out of my mind and Carlos would always be sympathetic, understanding, and helpful. He always seemed to come up with positive comments that seemed to check my downward spiral and boost me up again. When he made me aware that I needed to help myself by watching what I was eating and exercising on a regular schedule I lost 24 pounds. Those two things really helped me feel better about myself during that period. This is how good he is — I am retiring from my job this summer on my 60th birthday! His comment about “misguided loyalties” made me really sit up and take notice that I can’t worry about everyone else, if I’m not happy. I plan to enjoy my life while I still can and do all the things that I’ve dreamed of while I’m still in good health both in mind and body.
